The lighting made the wood body look shinier than it is. (It
is matte as opposed to glossy is a good way to describe it).
The photo on the left more closely represents the natural wood
shades, however, wood being what it is, shades can vary

These wood body forms may be
useful for biomechanical engineers and
forensics specialists to demonstrate body positions more easily
than drawing or sketching them. Can portray body positions
in accidents or injuries, as well as showing the correct
way to achieve a goal, and
"what to do" and "what not to do" in a wide variety of specific
situations, such as extreme sports, martial arts and
actions by stuntmen and stuntwomen in movies and
television. Helpful for orthopaedists to
explain injuries and remedies to their patients.
To an extent, they can also demonstrate a few ballet positions.

Our jointed mannequins have been used to teach proper postural
assessment.
Excellent visual aid for anyone who must show how a person was
impacted by a specific event such as a car accident or
other severe mishap. Another suggestion is to try out
various new products by using the wood body forms as a
sort of crash test dummy. May also be used to show the
mechanics of the human body in order to prevent accidents,
falls, slips and spills. Very useful for showing specific
physical therapy exercises and exercise positions of
all types including some yoga positions.

stand alone body forms that have almost human-like
features. They include sculpted faces and bodies and
jointed fingers. Almost human. Made of heavy duty plastic.
Woman size: 11" tall. Men's size 12" tall. They can be put
into many positions including dancing, exercise positions,
sitting down, standing and more. Good way to demonstrate
general anatomy. The female is slender as a ballet dancer
and the male has the muscular physique of a body builder.
